A crash course in OT history

In celebrating Old Trafford's 100th birthday, ManUtd.com has a section called The OT 100. It's comprised of the 100 greatest moments of The Theatre of Dreams in its glorious century. It covers OT's opening day, to its destruction from World War 2 and its rebuilding, and all memorable events that has happened throughout these 100 years.

The list contains the births and losses of United legends, trademark comebacks and late winners, amazing goals, and remarkable wins. It also highlights the emergence of the Busby Babes, the Munich disaster that rocks the club and the footballing world, and the comeback of the team. Looking at each of the 100 moments these past 3 days, I've learned so much about the club: United's famed academy, producing great talents (Class of '92); Sir Alex's reign; record breaking performances, etc.

The last "moment" of Old Trafford is this season's epic Manchester derby. Who can forget Michael Owen's late, late, late winner against the Citizens? Once a star of a bitter rival, now a hero among the red side of Manchester. These 100 years, Old Trafford has seen the ups and downs of United, from struggling to stay in the First Division to winning every single trophy a player can dream of; the reinvention of the stadium and the rebuilding of teams goes on to see the club, under Sir Alex Ferguson, dominate world football in the past two decades.

Old Trafford has been such an amazing home to Manchester United, and with such rich history behind it. I really hope we would never move anywhere, not even with a much bigger capacity. This is The Theater of Dreams and it should never be replaced.
