Justin on Oprah

Justin was on Oprah's Friday Live at 9am for the taping today and was on ABC at 4pm here... I LOOOOVE my Justin with glasses!!

There are some videos on Oprah's website that were not on the show. Click here and here to watch them.

Justin talked about William Rast, mostly, but he didn't get enough time to talk! They asked him stuff about Jessica (of course), SNL, working with friends, etc.

Things to do this weekend:

  1. Read the essay for Expos, and
  2. Start writing the rough draft
  3. Figure out what to do for the GUI part of the CS113 project
  4. Study CS113!! [MUST NOT FAIL!!]
  5. Start CS206 HW
Guess that's it... Hopefully I can do most of them... The essay for Expos is 30 pages long and soooo boring. That's gonna take a while. Maybe I should start tonight after dinner... [or now cos I don't think I'm getting dinner lol]

Trying Firefox 3.1 Beta

After trying Safari's latest Beta and loving it I thought it would be fair to try Firefox's too. They didn't change the appearance too much. But it's definitely faster. Don't know if it's faster than Safari. So far so good. It has all the extensions and add-ons (why most people use Firefox) and it seems to be working well and faster. No bugs encountered so far but I've only used this for 5 hours.

Justin to host SNL again!

It's confirmed that Justin is going to host Saturday Night Live again. *yay* He's gonna be hosting one of the last episodes of this season's SNL on May 9th. Rumors are Ciara will be the musical guest. Man I just can't wait to see "Love Sex Magic" live!!!

On another note, there was an interview with Justin saying that he's not planning to go back to the studio for himself any time soon :( Come on Justin, we need new songs from you!! [or at least I do..]

blah

In about 12 hours I would be on my way back to Rutgers. Spring break is over. Haven't been the best week (couldn't get much worse actually), but I don't want to go back to Rutgers either. Cos I'm gonna have to do my CS project and read for Expos -_____-"

It's gonna be Lisa's birthday on Monday, and I think they're planning something for her...

Justin appeared on Access Hollywood with Ciara for the video of Love Sex Magic

The video will be out Monday--I can't wait!! [^.^]

just some stuff

Ellen DeGeneres is finally conquered her quest to be able to be on the cover of Oprah's "O" Magazine. Oprah has been the only person to appear on her magazine's cover, up until the last issue where the first lady, Michelle Obama, is on next to Oprah herself. Ellen has been campaigning to get on the cover of the magazine (calling it "O Yes I Can!"). Today she tweeted:
TheEllenShowOprah just asked me to be on the cover of "O" magazine!

So congrats Ellen! I know you wanted to be the first person to appear on the cover with Oprah but the first lady deserves to be first I guess...

Moving on to some JT news:

This one is from the William Rast tweet:
williamrastJustin Timberlake to appear on Oprah's Friday Live Show 3/27 at 9am featuring William Rasthttp://www.williamrast.com

I thought it was kinda random for him to stop by Oprah now cos I don't know that he's doing anything new... I guess he could talk about his new TV show coming up in April, or the tequila thing, or maybe the new song with Ciara (but that's not likely). Hopefully a hint of a new album cos it's been too long since his last (and I need my new dose of Justin).

About his new TV show, it's called "The Phone" and it's gonna be on MTV. The show starts on April 21st. Justin will be the executive producer of this game show.

The tequila thing... is right here. I'm not so sure about this one..

And he might be back to do Shrek Four, scheduled for May 2010.

J, I love that you're doing all these stuff but I would love it more if you would just go back to the studio and release a new album...

Love Sex Magic

Love Sex Magic by Ciara featuring Justin Timberlake is now on iTunes. I love this song! (well it's Justin so of course I love it) But the beat is amazing and the hook and the lyrics are catchy. Gonna download it today and try to make it get on the top 10 list on iTunes.

This week is finally over!

Been way too busy in the past few days. Spring break starts tomorrow and Rutgers (or at least my classes) made everything due during this past week. I had 3 exams, a paper, 2 homework and 1 group project, plus an interview in the past 5 days! I only slept for a total of 8 1/2 hours in 2 days.

Actually I haven't finished my CS project yet (hopefully Connie can do most of them and I'll just do the final editing lol). I'd take a look at it later tonight see what I can do. I really need to not fail this project. Really need the grade.

I really don't know why or how Wednesday had to happen to me. I had the interview for the NBCS job that day. Followed by 3 exams, then I had to write my third paper for Expos. I pretty much failed to do well in any of those...

Both on Wednesday and Thursday I actually woke up early enough to get breakfast, and I ate at the dining hall. That actually felt good lol Hopefully I can do that again sometimes.

At least the hard week is over and I can enjoy spring break now. This 10 days I will enjoy as much as I can cos when next Monday comes I'll be back to writing papers, doing assignments and homework, etc.

Anyway, tonight's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was really funny. Well, maybe not, since I'm one of the odd ones who actually likes Jimmy and the show. I think his giggles are cute. He IS cute! I don't know what Tracy Morgan said about Jimmy but I guess it gets annoying if he giggles all the time in sketch comedy but I love it when that happens, actors unable to stay in character. I like Jimmy better than Tracy. A lot better! I think Jimmy's way funnier and Tracy is the overrated one. (Reading blogs on the internet makes me feel like I"m the only one who thinks so). Back to the topic about the show being funny: the animal segment show was hilarious!

It's 2.05am and I'm going to bed, trying to get as much sleep as possible.

I just love it when Justin's in New York

Justin's been in NY a while now, maybe he really did move here? [^.^]
So on Monday he was on Jimmy Fallon's first show and last night he made yet another cameo at SNL. Jessica Biel was also there.

Love the glasses at the end!

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

It's been 2 episodes of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon so far and here are my thoughts:

First of all, the build up to the premier week has been huge. I love how they interact with the public so much. From their website with the webisodes and "Ask Jimmy," to Twitter updates from both Jimmy and the show itself.

Monday, March 2nd, 2009, was Jimmy Fallon's first day as Late Night's host. For some reason I always picture Jimmy as this guy who's always nervous--in a cute way. Conan O'Brien made a short cameo in the intro, was pretty funny. Fallon's first monologue was actually pretty good (people say way better than Conan O'Brien's first monologue. I didn't watch it so I wouldn't know). He seemed a little awkward at times but I'm sure he just needs to get used to it.

I'm not a fan of his game "Lick It for Ten," I thought it was dumb and not interesting at all. The low point of the show. Then the first guest, Oscar winner Robert DeNiro. I know Fallon felt honored that DeNiro accepted to be the first guest on the show but that is not a good choice for a first show guest. Especially when Fallon was still trying to get comfortable with the whole show thing and interviewing people. DeNiro is not an easy person to interview.

Justin Timberlake came on as the second guest and he got the energy up. Eased the show up a bit. I guess Fallon was way too nervous interviewing DeNiro, and when JT came on the show lit up and became funnier. Now Justin is a good choice for a first show guest. Easy to interview and funny. His impressions were really good, too!

Second show, Tuesday, saw a huge improvement from Fallon himself and the whole show in general. The guests, Tina Fey and Jon Bon Jovi, were really funny so the interview was easy. (I looove Tina Fey!) Fey and Fallon used to do Weekend Updates on SNL together and I've always loved interviews when the interviewer and the interviewee know each other and they do the interview kinda candid. IMO,  this second show was really good. Missing Justin but other than that it was really good.

With the improvement rate like this, everyone's gonna love him by the end of the week. And his guest list is very impressive. I think it's Cameron Diaz tonight. And I hope that wouldn't stop on premier week. Will be watching, Jimmy! You're gonna be great! Have Justin on as much as possible!!

Check out videos and full episodes on the show's website.

Safari 4 (Beta)

I decided to try out Safari 4 cos someone told me that it looks pretty cool, so I downloaded it last night. Since it requires me to restart my computer I waited until this morning to try it out.

The first think I noticed (because it's right there when you open Safari) is the "Top Sites" feature that they have. It is very similar to Firefox's "Fast Dial" add-on that I've been using.
The design is very nice and this feature definitely makes it faster and easier to browse the web. I love the Fast Dial on Firefox, and I believe I'm going to love this too. I was hoping that they would let us manually enter the sites that we want. They also use cover flow for bookmarks and history, which is pretty cool...
This is really cool. Very unique, as a browser that is. The design is very nice, very "Mac" (and you know how much I love Macs ;p).  They also moved the tabs to the top of the window

So far it's been great. There are some bugs but it is a beta version after all. When Safari 4 is released officially, I'm definitely gonna try it out for my default browser.

I LOOOOOOOOVE THE SNOW!!!

It really was a great day today. Just looked out the window to find everything's covered in snow! [^.^]

Woke up around 9am in the morning to watch United's Carling Cup Final match (we won 4-1 on penalties! Foster saved the first penalty to boost our confidence. Props to Spurs, was a lot tighter than I thought it would be).

Then I checked Mail and found out that my Physics  exam is canceled due to forecast of heavy snow. I checked the class website. It says that the exam is canceled altogether, not postponed. So now we only have one hour exam and a final (so I have to do well in both). Checked weather.com next, to see how bad it's gonna be and there's a winter storm warning, and it says that it's gonna snow the whole night tonight and won't stop until tomorrow. *yaaay!!* The whole day I was just hoping that it would be bad enough so tomorrow's classes would be canceled.

And I found out that that was also true around the time my exam was supposed to be held! LOL 4 classes tomorrow, all canceled! Gotta love the snow!!

New Jersey is expecting a significant snowstorm late tonight and Monday. As a result of this forecast:

- Daytime and evening classes on the New Brunswick and Piscataway Campuses are canceled for Monday, March 2, 2009.

- University offices and departments remain open on Monday, March 2, 2009. Pursuant to Rutgers policy and applicable collective negotiation agreements, employees who are absent due to adverse weather conditions, may use vacation, personal holiday or administrative leave after proper notification of their supervisor.
