American Idol 7

So first week of season 7 has ended, and tonight 4 people had to go home. The first "announcement" was really fast. Gareth was out... (Is that his name? lol) He wasn't the best performer on Tuesday but I really like him! He has a great personality! Even just now when he got the boot he was still smiling, staying positive... I mean he seems really nice! =D

Amy Davis (? Sorry if I misspelled lol) is the 2nd one to go. I don't even know her... She doesn't look that fun... So I don't care. I'll just start caring when we get to the top 24. Though I like that David Archuletta kid, and I HATE Danny... He's like Sanjaya last season! Why does Idol always have that?!

The third to leave was Joanne, the plus size model. I actually liked her... Another one with the great attitude gone... The last guy to leave... Colton! Damn!!!! I like him too!!! WTH is wrong with these people!?!?!

tears....

The build up was great. The kit was amazing. With the hype so high this could be the match of the season. The legends are on the stands. One minute of silence did pretty well. Dunno bout the fireworks/gun shots, but at least inside the stadium it was great. But why, why, WHY?! Did we play like that? It sucked so bad I can't even complain that we didn't win.. Though Carrick's goal in the 90th minute gave us hope, we should have scored earlier... Twice in a row now we played so bad and scored at the very last minute. Last time it was enough to get us a point, this time, the defending sucked so bad that Carrick's goal couldn't be of any help...

Sorry, the Busby Babes. Definitely deserved a better memorial..

Remembering Munich

50 years ago, tomorrow, the Munich air disaster happened. I didn't know much about it, but today everyone connected to Manchester United is remembering the Busby Babes. The Manchester United website is pretty much black and white, with their home page full of articles about their greatness and the disaster.

February 6th, 1958, the darkest day in Manchester United's history.

Remembering :

Roger Byrne - aged 28, full-back. 277 appearances, 19 goals, 33 England caps.
would have learned when he returned to Manchester that his wife Joy was expecting a child. 38 weeks after his death Roger had a son.

Geoff Bent - aged 25, full-back. 12 appearances.
his daughter, Karen, was just a baby when he was killed.

Eddie Colman - aged 21, half-back. 107 appearances, 2 goals.
was just 3 months after his 21st birthday when he was killed.

David Pegg - aged 22, forward, 148 appearances, 28 goals, 1 England cap.
his ambition was to be successful with United, and he had achieved that aim at such a young age.

Mark Jones - aged 24, half-back, 120 appearances, 1 goal.
left a young wife, June, and a baby son, Gary.

Duncan Edwards - aged 21, half-back, 175 appearances, 21 goals. 18 England caps, 5 goals.
the youngest player to appear for England, was planning to get married to his fiance, Molly.

Tommy Taylor - aged 26, forward, 189 appearances, 128 goals. 19 England caps, 16 goals.
was planning to marry his fiance, Carol.

Liam 'Billy' Whelan - aged 22, forward, 96 appearances, 52 goals. 4 Republic of Ireland caps.
was deeply a religious boy, Harry Gregg remembers clearly his last words as the aircraft accelerated down the runway: "If the worst happens I am ready for death... I hope we all are."

Walter Crickmer - club secretary.

Tom Curry - trainer (aged 63).

Bert Whalley - coach (aged 44).

on the bright side...

Today's the birthday of two United stars, Cristiano Ronaldo (23) and Carlos Tevez (24). Have fun lads! This might be the happiest day in the United camp but you guys enjoy!
