RIP Michael Jackson

The King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, has died at the age of 50, and the world mourns.
I've never been a big fan of his (because of his creepiness. I'm not doubting his musical talents) but I still feel the loss. The sudden death itself is said to be caused by cardiac arrest, but we wouldn't know for sure until they have done an autopsy.

Rest in peace, Mr. Jackson!

Yet another post on House...

My last post brought me to House's official website and it has a feature Housisms where they put all the funny House quotes. How could anyone not love Dr. Gregory House, M.D.?!?!

I have soooo many quotes that I just LOVE! <3 <3 <3

Cuddy - "Dr. House! Need you here."
House - "No thanks. Lotta sick people. I might catch something."
- Kids

"Are you comparing me to God? I mean, it's great, but so you know, I've never made a tree."
- Role Model

Chase - "You can trust me."
House - "The problem is, if I can't trust you, I can't trust your statement that I can trust you. But thanks, you've been a big help."
- Mob Rules

"Your brother has Ornithine Transcarbamylase Deficiency. You want me to write it down? Good, because it takes awhile.
- Mob Rules

Wilson - "She was uncomfortable doing any more tests. I had to convince her just to do that one."
House - "You get that often? Women who'd rather die than get naked with you?"
- Control

Chase - "How would you feel if I interfered in your personal life?"
House - "I'd hate it. That's why I cleverly have no personal life."
- Cursed

"You always trust me. It's a big mistake."
- Detox

"Like I always say, there's no 'I' in team. There's a 'me,' though, if you jumble it up."
- DNR

Dr. House - "Mr. Adams, would you step outside for a moment?"
Adams - "Why?"
Dr. House - "Because you irritate me."
- Poison

Treating illness is why we became doctors. Treating patients is actually what makes most doctors miserable."
- Pilot

And these are only from season 1!!

Spoiler alert!

If you don't want to know anything about the upcoming season, don't read...

The sixth season of House will premiere this fall, Monday, September 21st. The finale of season 5 shows us House checking himself to a mental institution in New Jersey, because of the hallucinations he's been having lately. While, Chase and Cameron got married.

It is actually shot at a closed institution in New Jersey. If I had known the exact location, I would have gone!

The premier of season 6 will be a two-hour special, taking place entirely in the mental institution where House is. The doctor diagnosing our favorite diagnostician will be played by Andre Braugher. The bold move that they're doing is that only two of the show's main characters will show up in the premier: House and Wilson.
'It is a bold move,' Hugh Laurie acknowledged to EW at last night's Paley Center for Media event, Creating Great Characters. 'We are moving into our sixth year and I suppose the writers felt that we couldn't just reprise the same stories, the same sets, the same look, the same problems. We needed to go on an adventure, and this is it.'

The writers also revealed that they will show us more of Chase and Cameron, and their relationship, after putting them in the backgrounds for most of seasons 4 and 5. However, we wouldn't see as much of Thirteen as Olivia Wilde who plays her is shooting Disney's Tron remake.

Goodbye, Tevez!

20/06/2009 22:00, Report by Communications Dept.

Tevez leaving United

Following contact received from Carlos Tevez’s advisors last night, in advance of the deadline the Club set for concluding negotiations, Manchester United announces that Carlos will not be signing a new contract with the Club.
The Club agreed to pay the option price of £25.5m and offered Carlos a five-year contract which would have made him one of its highest paid players.
Disappointingly however, his advisors informed the Club that, despite the success he has enjoyed during one of the Club’s most successful periods, he does not wish to continue playing for Manchester United.
The Club would like to thank Carlos for his services over the last two seasons and wishes him good luck for the future.

article from ManUtd.com

I feel like we're gonna miss Tevez more than Ronaldo. I am very disappointed by this. I guess that was waving us goodbye after all (after our last home game at Old Trafford).

I don't think this is a smart decision by Tevez. I know every player wants to play but wouldn't you rather play for a club that has a chance of winning trophies than play week in week out for nothing?

Anyways, thank you for your brilliant service this past two years. We have loved every minute you're on that pitch wearing the United jersey. Good luck with your future..

F1 in trouble

The deadline has passed and the 8 teams in Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) failed to reach an agreement with the FIA about rule changes for the upcoming seasons.

For now, it seems like they're gonna be divided into 2 races next season. FOTA consists of the following teams: BMW Sauber, Brawn, Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, Renault, Toro Rosso, Toyota. It was announced yesterday that their association will have their own series in 2010.

I don't really know what rules they are talking about and I'm not even curious. However, seeing that the big names of F1 are in FOTA, I have to say that if I must choose I'd watch FOTA's series rather than F1 itself. But either way, if this issue is not resoled soon it might be the beginning of the end for the Formula 1 series. It's never a good idea to split a successful series into 2 competing series.

Jakarta

ManUtd.com has posted an article about our capital city. Nothing too special about it, just highlighting the growth of the city.

Some interesting facts about Jakarta:
  • It's the largest city in south-east Asia and 12th biggest in the world.
  • Manchester is one of Jakarta's sister cities

Today's reading...

I use the Daily Reading feature on my iPhone's Bible and tonight's reading was Judges 21. It was a very strange read and I really don't know what I'm supposed to get from it...

Bacaane tentang suku Benyamin yang diasingkan n orang2 suku lain ga bole kasi istri. Jadi mereka merasa kasian sama suku Benyamin soale ga bisa dapet istri. Akire mereka suruh orang2 ke penduduk Yabesh-Gilead buat mbunuhi orang2 yg dah ga virgin. Perawan2e ada 400 dibawa pulang buat jadiin istri orang Benyamin. Ternyata masih ga cukup. Jadi mereka memutuskan bakal nyuri anak2 cewek e dr suku2 laen tanpa seizin orang tuane. Soale mereka udah janji ma Tuhan kalo bakal terkutuk klo mereka mau ngasihno anak gadis e buat orang Benyamin, jadi klo ga mereka dw yg ngasih gpp... Tapi trus klo ketahuan keluargae dibilangi klo mo dikasihno orang Benyamin n disuru sukarela...

We need someone to act as an authority. Soale mrk jg bilang Israel waktu itu ga ada raja jadi bertindak karepe dw...

I just can't wait for the season to start... I know Ronaldo might be leaving and we might not be able to keep Tevez, but I do believe that we still have a strong team and we have enough quality to fight for our fourth consecutive title. Also get our Champions League trophy back. Last year's loss was very unfortunate. With the team we had we could have done so much better. Barcelona didn't look stronger than our team, but we just didn't show up that night in Rome.

For the full fixture click here.

A couple news bits

4 year old flushed his puppy down the toilet in an attempt to wash it. Plumber to the rescue.
Taken from ATA, summarizing last night's AC360.

Nokia is building a phone that recharges wirelessly. The phone takes radio waves from the air and converts them to usable energy to power itself. Imagine all these gadgets that we use all the time, without the wires to power them!

It's kinda cool what they're trying to do. Hopefully it comes to realization soon and I'd get to try it! LOL

TCA '09

Justin is nominated for this year's Teen Choice Awards for Music: Hook Up (with Ciara for "Love Sex Magic") and for Other Stuff: Red Carpet Icon-Male. It uses the voting system so I am expecting something similar to what happened to this year's MTV Movie Awards: what 12 year-olds like wins. But here's to hoping! Good luck Justin!

VOTE HERE

I don't have much expectations for this awards, but they have been pretty nice to Justin! He has the most wins, I think. I can't believe they didn't put Justin in Other Stuff: Male Hottie! They put the Disney stars there instead. They also put Twilight for best movie in 2 categories. It's either/or, can't be both!

House is also nominated for TV: Drama, but I just can't believe that Hugh Laurie isn't nominated for TV Actor! They also put the Disney stars in that category instead! You're telling me that those boys are better actors than Hugh Laurie?! These awards are getting dumber and dumber each year...

That was strange...

So today I've felt like eating steak or ribs, since this morning. I've been in my room pretty much the whole day (reading and watching YouTube) but I planned on talking to my mom to ask if we could go out for dinner. It's almost 6 so I figured if we're gonna go get dinner I should ask soon. I went to her room to find my mom getting ready to go somewhere so I asked her if she had plans. And she nodded, saying "lho ayo, mau makan steak? Ayo ke Prime sini ae..." I'm almost 100% sure I haven't asked her yet!

One Time

This is the first official video from Justin Bieber, called "One Time"

I thought it was pretty cute. Not bad for a first video. Some of the scenes or moves were a little awkward but I'm sure he'll get better. Best of luck, JB!

United accept Real's Ronaldo bid

The never ending transfer saga is finally coming to a close...possibly. Manchester United has decided to accept a world record bid of £ 80 million. This means Real Madrid are allowed to talk to Cristiano Ronaldo and his people and offer a contract. It's not exactly a done deal but since CR has always wanted to play for Real Madrid (even though he stated, at the end of last season, that he's definitely staying at United next season) so most of us fans think that it's goodbye Cristiano!

Here's the report from ManUtd.com
Record Ronaldo bid accepted

Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

At Cristiano's request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories. When you came us fans were mourning the departure of David Beckham and just a few seasons later you've shown us one of the best football ever played in the red kit. Wishing you the best of luck whichever club you decide to play for in the future.

Possibly the three best footballers in the past three years will be playing for Spanish clubs next year. Maybe it's time to start watching La Liga?

Just some thoughts...

I feel like I've been taking God for granted. Because He's God. He forgives and he's always there for me. That makes me unconsciously think that I can do whatever I want as long as I return to God at the end.

Last night's reading was Joshua 23-24. I guess that's how God speaks to me, huh? Been wondering how that happens because I've been asking all these questions I just don't know how to listen.

What I got from it was that everything that I have, have been given to me. I didn't have to work for it, God just gave them to me. So as long as I serve the Lord, He'll give me whatever I need. But when I turn away from Him, he can as easily take those things away from me. There's no reason in giving me what I need for free, if I don't even remember to praise Him or pray to Him. Guess I'm gonna have to change...

And that thing we talked about (w/ Stan n Elsa)--if God does the fighting for us, we won't lose, right? [guess I need to actually ask another person about this]

Note to self... gotta read the Bible and go to church more often!

Post!

Haven't posted anything in a while... I've been home for about 10 days and I'm enjoying home food and lots and lots of sleep! Haven't really done much.

It was Anderson Cooper's birthday yesterday!! (I think he's 42 now)
HAPPY BELATED ANDY!!!

But it is Anderson Cooper; never takes a day off on his birthday, even though he can. Kathy Griffin and Suze Orman surprises Anderson on his CNN show.

and he also substituted for Regis on LIVE with Regis and Kelly that morning (videos at ATA). He's actually working over time on his birthday! And he's still subbing for Regis tomorrow. He was so funny with Kelly today. I LOVE HIM!!!

Also I went with Moti to his tennis courses. Gonna be doing that this month, so I'd have something to do.

Gonna be busy from the end of this month to the next. June 27th koko will be coming home, and we're heading off to Bali the next day. Tante Vy, Tante Ferra and Tante Phillia will all be there (with their families of course). Should be fun! That's only until the 30th or July 1st. Then I'd have a couple days at home. On the 4th we're headed off to Jakarta. And I'd have to stay until United's match on the 20th. And THAT should be ever more fun!! So I have from the 20th until mid/late August to hang out with my friends.

Oh, and I'm almost certain that I'm gonna stay at Rutgers. Talked about it all week with my parents and it's almost decided that I'm staying... Well, I only have tomorrow to change my mind so it's unlikely.

I guess that's it for now...
