West Ham 2-4 Manchester United
It's "the stuff of champions." There are many reasons why I love United, and amazing come backs is definitely one of them! I thought we were doing pretty well offensively but Evra and Vidic gave away the two penalties in the first half and suddenly we were 2-0 down away from home. But United doesn't give up. We always believe.

Manchester United 2-1 Marseille
And we're through to the last 8!!
I've always hated the away goals rule. I've always preferred going away first and then coming home for the second leg, but it's always nerve-wracking going home after a 0-0 draw. Well Chicharito's two goals proved crucial as Marseille clawed one back in the last 10 minutes. It was yet one of those games where it got really nervy at the end. If we concede, it's over for us. These types of games, I hate watching live because I get too nervous, but it makes you feel that much better when it's over and you're through.

Southampton 1-2 Manchester United
Not our best game, by any standard, but we managed to pull a win. Our story this season, isn't it? Somehow we just walked out the winner. But I love this one because Michael Owen played and scored, as did Chicharito. And it made Owen the current display pic of MUG! <3

Manchester United 7-1 Blackburn
A little frustrated by AI's project, so I'm just gonna forget about it for a little bit.
It was an amazing performance by Manchester United. And we haven't seen that in a while. So I was happy about that, a perfect birthday gift from the team. However, I, like most people, decided to bench Dimitar Berbatov from my fantasy league team because he's been...insignificant in the last 10 games or so. And he went to score 5 goals. Him being a captain would have the same points as my whole team combined! Oh well, I'm not complaining. Real world way more important than fantasy league!

Manchester United 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
I watched the first half and it was so boring that I fell asleep during half time; so I don't really have much to say about that match. Seeing how terrible we were on the first half though, we need a creative player (Nani or Valencia, both injured) and someone who can control the game with his passing (ie Scholes).
But what I wanna talk about is this guy:
Sir Alex surprised everyone with the inclusion of Owen Hargreaves in the starting XI. He's been out for 2 years, made a little cameo in the middle and disappeared again. We were told that the treatment and rehabilitation for his knee injury have been completed and that he's almost fit; but a start was unexpected! But as always, after injuries that long, small little problems would come with the come back. I praise his spirit, that has gotten him this far and brought him back. But only 5 minutes into the match, his left hamstring failed him and he had to limp off the pitch. I still don't know if it's torn or just strained, but I really hope that it's not too serious and that he'll be back in the team soon. I remember his contribution to our 2007/2008 season, and he was a key figure in our winning the Champions League that season. The supporters are still here, Owen, waiting patiently for your comeback. Hopefully you're as patient as we are; we know this must be very hard on you!

Manchester United 3-2 Liverpool
All I have to say is, THANK YOU DIMITAR BERBATOV! This can definitely be your season (and Scholes')!
Dimitar Berbatov’s first hat-trick for United settled a pulsating clash as both the striker and the fixture lived up to Sir Alex Ferguson’s pre-match billing.
A stooping header in the first half, then a beautiful bicycle kick and a towering header in the second, earned the Bulgarian a standing ovation from the Old Trafford faithful and his team all three, priceless points. But the headlines would have been dramatically different had Dimitar not headed John O’Shea’s 84th-minute cross triumphantly past Pepe Reina - Liverpool had dragged themselves from 0-2 down to 2-2 with Steven Gerrard scoring from a penalty and a free-kick in a frenetic six-minute spell.

Manchester United 3-0 West Ham United
United were just too good. The Reds dominated right from the start and West Ham's futile resistance only lasted until the 33rd minute when Wayne Rooney opened his account for the season from the penalty spot. Goals of unquestionable class from Nani and Dimitar Berbatov followed after the break, sealing as convincing and comfortable a 3-0 win as you are ever likely to witness.
