Dimi scored!!

I recorded today's Champions League match but I still haven't watched
it yet... It was against Aalbork BK or something and United won 3-0.
First goal was by Rooney (he's back!!!) and the other two were by
Dimitar Berbatov. He finally scored, silencing all those early
critics. Gonna b watching after class, should he fun. We're back on
winning ways!!

Desperate Housewives

So... tonight is the premier of Desperate Housewives. We're now looking at them 5 years into the future. Susan Delfino had a boy. But after a few years, she and Mike had a car accident... Somehow, Susan was there with a new guy... Apparently Mike's not dead. I think they separated. He's fine... They killed the people in the other car, a mother and daughter. She felt really guilty and they fought over it... I'm pretty sure Mike left her in the end. Bree is a successful baker or something, and Katherine is working for her. Apparently they are supposed to be partners but Bree is the one who's more famous and became something like the boss... Lynette's kids are teenagers. Gaby had 2 (or 3) kids who are overweight. Edie is back, and bringing a husband... He's a motivational speaker or something, and Edie is like turning nice around him. But he's just creepy...

Manchester United 2-0 Bolton

The Roo-Ron partnership is back! =D

The boys are finally back on winning ways! Beating Bolton 2-0 at home was kinda fun. It was pretty frustrating watching the match cos at half time, possession was 81%-29% to United, and it was still 0-0. We just couldn't score! Too many chances, and their goalie is too good...

The first goal was controversial. Ronaldo went down in the box and the ref gave a penalty. No, he didn't dive. But it wasn't a foul either. The defender got the ball. It's not like we asked for the penalty. The ref blew his whistle right away. He wasn't hesitating or anything.

Ron, of course, converted the penalty. The celebration wasn't too much, for a penalty we didn't deserve. The second goal was great though. If I'm not mistaken it was a quick counter attack. Rooney passing the ball forward to Ronaldo, but Ron couldn't get inside. Backheeled the ball back to Roo, who controls the ball, and shoots. Great shot, no chance for goalie. 2-0.. It was one of those matches where we could have scored 10 goals. We just couldn't find the final touch.

Well a win is a win, hoping for a better one next time...

Premier week...

So this week is premier week, which means most of our favorite shows are back with their new season.

Heroes started on Monday with a 2 hour premier. I think it was good, but it was just so complicated that it's hard to follow the story. There are 2 Peters there, one good, one might be bad. Nathan died and lived again. It was the bad Peter who shot Nathan. Linderman is a ghost, and only Nathan could see him. Mohinder was weird! Sylar was there, taking Claire's power without killing her. So now he's immortal too. It's just too much information in those 2 hours. Maybe it's just me cos I wasn't concentrating on the show. I was flipping channels between this and season 7 of Dancing with the Stars.

Lance Bass - the gay *NSYNCer - is one of the 13 stars on DWTS this season. Joey was on a couple seasons ago and came in second. He should have won! He was totally robbed! So this time I decided to watch and support Lance so he would win. It's kinda tough cos Brooke Burke is really good. She's been leading the pack since day 1. Come on Lance! We can win this!! =)

Ugly Betty was on Thursday but I was in class so I didn't get to watch it. Will do when it's up online.

I recorded the 2-hour premier of Grey's Anatomy though. Cos yeah, you just can't miss GA. So I found out that the teaser clips were so good... and so not true! The car crash that killed Derek was just Mer's dream. Rose telling Derek that she's pregnant with his baby was just a joke. They made it look like Izzie was sleeping with Alex and George found out. In fact he was talking to Mer's half-sister (sorry I forgot her name, but she's 'number 3' according to Cristina) and referring to Mark Sloane. It's not true, of course. Rose ended up leaving to get over Derek. MerDer decided to move in together, so we'll see how that goes.

Now I have to wait 2 weeks until the new episode of GA which SUCKS! So yeah, the shows are back, right when I have so many things to do. Which means nothing gets done, watch more TV...

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 (2011)

According to E!News (that I'm watching right now) Johnny Depp is reported to have confirmed PotC 4! The movie is scheduled for 2011, which is waaaaay too long from now. (I might actually have graduated college by then!) But that's better than nothing! Gonna be amazing!! PotC is definitely one of my fave movies of all time...

If it is true, I really want to know what happens between Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) since now he can't die and can only come to land every 10 years. And she can't join him on the ship cos then she'll be one of them...

Maybe I'm just not supposed to watch

So it does work... Now I can just use the Mail application on my
iPhone to post on my blog. Pretty cool...

So Manchester United finally won by more than one goal this season,
beating Boro 3-1 (Ronaldo, Giggs, Nani || Johnson). I didn't expect so
many first team players to be on the line up since it's only Carling
Cup, but whatever, we won!! Can't wait to be back in my room and watch
little bits of the match.

Some people told me that we did really well. I was actually going to
skip classes and watch the match instead. Decided to go to class, and
they played (possibly) their best match of the season. Maybe I'm not
allowed to watch them?

When are we gonna start winning?

We definitely don't have the best start of the season but it's gonna start sometime, right? To be honest, 1-1 at Stamford Bridge is a pretty good result, but again, like against Liverpool, we started really well, giving us hope that we're gonna go home with 3 points from the trip. Scoring first, with a good goal. But then just slowed down and give the possession away cheaply. So the ref was shit, but that's not a reason to play shit as well! 7 yellow cards for us and only 1 for them?! Ronaldo's still not back to his form. Or he's just not showing up in this match... Next up, Boro if I'm not mistaken... Really have to win this one!

I'm gonna miss TRL...

A little bit late for the news, but MTV decided to axe their video music countdown show, Total Request Life. TRL started 10 years ago, and quickly became the launching pad for teen pop stars. Their first show aired on September 14, 1998, hosted by Carson Daly. The show countdowns the 10 most requested videos of the day, live from their New York Times Square studio. Daily guests or celebrity co-hosts often appear on the show, just to keep the show fresh.

“We want to close this era of ‘TRL’ in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number,” Dave Sirulnick, executive producer of TRL, said. "And 10 is the number that ‘TRL’ counted down every single day for 10 years, and we hit this 10th (anniversary)".
Eminem said: “I’m going to miss ‘TRL.’ ... Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honor vigorously and act like an angry teenager on national TV? Oh wait ... The VMAs!”

Lately, it seems to be the only show on MTV that is about music. Even though I stopped watching the show regularly a long time ago I know I'm still going to miss it. I've been watching it since back in the days of Carson Daly, *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys fighting for the top spot (every single week it seems), Eminem was still recording albums of his own and MTV was the best channel there is. Since then, I only watch it when I love the co-host or guest for the day (ie. Justin Timberlake).

The final episode of TRL will air on November 8, 2008, with a 2 hour special. I really want to see the artists that are going to be there. Yes, I'm hoping that a few guys from *NSYNC and other boybands are going to be there since they kinda broke into the industry around the same time and helped each other to gain fans.

Loving fw 2.1!

Finally decided to update my iPhone firmware to 2.1 and I LOVE IT!!! Downloading all the free apps from iTunes Apps Store right now.. (plus some more from Installer) Loving all the games and everything! I was gonna sleep early today but I got a little too excited LOL

When is this gonna end?

[Hopefully this weekend] Well... that's all I have to say about that... Gotta start writing my paper.

Monday, September 15, 2008

I'm actually glad it's Monday!

This past weekend was one of the worst weekends ever! Started off with a horrible Saturday morning: had to wake up at like 7am, and... I really don't want to talk about the rest of the day. Sunday was worse! I had absolutely nothing to do! Well I had homework due but I still haven't got my textbooks yet so I can't really do any.

Today was way better! My first class got canceled! Well, the professor didn't show up. I came like 10 minutes late, stayed for 5, and he was still not there so most of the class left. I did too :) Watching Ellen right now and Ryan Seacrest is gonna be on next! :) I love this show. And there was a 13 year old boy who's a pro yoyo-er. He's so good!

Anyways, Heroes new season starts next week! Gonna be fun... All the shows are coming back...

WTF?!

I just checked my network usage and it said that I've downloaded 1155MB today! And it's still noon! That would mean that I won't have internet in my room for 2-3 days! That's just wrong. I know I watched some videos and downloaded some more, but I KNOW that it wasn't more than 500MB! I download vids everyday, I know how much is how much.. Damn... Now I can't concentrate on writing my paper cos this means that I might not be able to watch Liverpool vs Man Utd game on Saturday! The one I've been waiting for... I think I can use the RUWireless somewhere in the building but it still sucks! It's on 7.45am and I don't know if I can get it to work... Shit... I still can't believe I downloaded more than a gig in like what, 2 hours?

Congrast Brit!! :)

I watched the VMAs tonight (a little bummed cos Kaba Modern didn't win, they're awesome!) and I learned that Britney Spears (and Mariah Carey, but I don't really care bout her) has never won a Moonman! She has been nominated 16 times - not sure if it's counting tonight's nominations - and won none! Until tonight that is...

Britney won 3 awards, topping up anybody else there, including the night's highest award Video of The Year. All 3 awards were won for Brit's vid "Piece of Me".

Just wanna say congrats, Brit! What a way for a comeback! Though some might say it's a pity award, I say she deserves it!

Just some random post

After my Data Structures class tonight, I would be done with my first week of classes, and I still haven't bought textbooks! Well yeah, I don't really care... I'm gonna have to spend so much money on books that I wouldn't really need, as I won't be using them that much. It's just not worth it!

Gotta say I'm kinda glad that we got Berbatov, cos Sir Alex seems to fancy him so much. I didn't really like Dimi and I still don't actually. But since he's a Red Devil now I'm gonna have to support him don't I? Well at least now we have a number 9 who can actually be on the field now and then...

Still can't believe summer break is over

So I got back to the US on Friday night, after about 2 days in flights and airports! That was really tiring and I was so glad to find a decent bed and I fell asleep right away. I think I was still jet-lagged since I woke up at 7am! And that's without alarm! And that still happens until today, waking up early. And I get really tired around 8pm, which sucks cos I don't sleep before midnight! Well at least I didn't.

Saturday, spent a couple hours grocery shopping, and spent the rest of the day at Tante Philia's house, picking up the stuff I was going to bring to Rutgers. Spent another night on the nice bed and then I would have to leave.

Left kinda late for Rutgers on Sunday. Got here at around 5.15 and the housing office closed at 5! I totally forgot about that! So I couldn't pick up my key, and I had to have my friends come all the way back just to let me in..

Then, moving in. Definitely not my favorite thing to do on a Sunday! Uncle Vince helped me take my stuff to my suite, but then I would have to organize everything myself, which I hate so bad! Doing it made me miss home so bad cos I wouldn't have to do anything myself there...

Labor day, yesterday, there was a football game here at Rutgers. I went to my first tailgate. Was kinda fun. (Learned how to play flip top, if that's what it's called) We lost the game, but I don't really care...

Today's the first day of classes, and I still can't believe that. Summer went by too fast. I'm not ready for another semester of hard work! I wanna just go back home and chill... My first class is in 3 hours and 43 minutes, and I still don't have any books.

-------------

BTW, welcome to Old Trafford, Berba! =D

Finally!

Manchester United are delighted to announce the signing of Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian international striker, 27, has signed a four-year contract after joining from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

As part of the deal, United striker Fraizer Campbell will spend the rest of the 2008/09 season on loan at White Hart Lane.

Upon becoming a United player, Dimitar told ManUtd.com: "Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me. I look forward to playing my part in helping this club win more honours in the years to come."

Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted to finally capture the elegant striker and admitted: "This is a key signing. Dimitar is one of the best and most exciting strikers in world football.

"His style and ability will give the team a different dimension and I’m sure he will be a popular player with the fans."
