My sedentary life

I've started a new blog, My Sedentary Life, which is basically where I will post anything relating to TV shows and movies that I watch. Just thought it would be nice to have a blog that has a focus and that this one would be less of a mess. Although, looking at my labels, I don't know what else I would post here...

Why I'm excited this holiday season: PRESENTS!!

1. Department secret santa tomorrow at work. Would be pretty interesting to see what everyone got everyone with a limit of $15. Even though I still can't figure out what to get my giftee. But hey, still excited!
2. MY REDDIT SECRET SANTA SHIPPED TWO PACKAGES!! The first one is an order from Etsy that he/she thinks I would love. Love Etsy, and can't wait to see what it is! The second one was shipped late last night and SS didn't say anything about it but TWO SHIPMENTS!! Since I got my first message from SS, I get so excited walking in to my apartment building, in the hope of a random, mysterious package. :] So for the next week, I will anxiously wait for the package notification on my mailbox.
3.  Kim called me last night, talked about our plans for January, and told me that she found "the perfect gift" for me. And she added that it's "quite nerdy" and she hoped I'd use it. You have no idea how excited I am for this. Also excited to see her again in a couple weeks. ;)
4. Doctor Who marathons. Because David Tennant. Yeah. Not really a present. But still.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

I think I am becoming more and more of a nerd. Even though I'm pretty much late to everything. Anyways, I have been obsessed with Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog for these past two weeks. It's funny, has great music, and just amazing.

Firefly is back!!

Well...sorta... It's back on TV, at least!

Well I’ll be gorammed! The Science Channel has acquired the rights to Joss Whedon’s kick-ass Space Western. Additionally, outlaw physicist Michio Kaku will do interstitials within the show discussing the science behind its principles. DOUBLE NERD SCORE.

Exclusive First Look: Nathan Fillion Lights It Up as Green Lantern

He's enjoying mainstream success as the star of ABC's Castle, but Nathan Fillion is still a fanboy favorite — and a fanboy himself. So the Firefly and Dr. Horrible alum totally geeked out when he was offered the voice role of DC Comics superhero Green Lantern in the DVD movie Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, due June 7 from Warner Bros. Animation. Emerald Knights is a series of vignettes about the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic police force. Fillion plays Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Earth's space sector, who mentors Arisia, a new recruit played by Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss. "I was always reading the comic books, I was always a spectator," Fillion says. "Now I feel like I own a little piece of Green Lantern."

And he's getting to share it with an old friend, Ryan Reynolds, who is starring in the Green Lantern feature film, which opens 10 days after the DVD comes out. Both actors got their big breaks together on the ABC sitcom Two Guys and a Girl. "He's a great guy, a gem, deserves all the success that he's getting," says Fillion, "so it's neat to have a little piece and share it with someone you know.

The voice cast for Green Lantern: Emerald Knights also includes Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter movies), Kelly Hu (Hawaii Five-0, The Vampire Diaries), actor/spoken-word artist Henry Rollins and ex-wrestler "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

'30 Rock' Scoop: Matt Damon joins live episode!

"30 Rock"‘s live episode is turning into quite the A-List affair. Sources confirm that Matt Damon is set to reprise his role as Tina Fey’s emotionally raw pilot beau in this Thursday’s live outing.

An NBC spokesperson declined to comment.

Damon joins a guest roster that also includes "Man Men"‘s Jon Hamm and "30 Rock"‘s Cheyenne Jackson.

Details of the episode’s plot are being kept under wraps, but I’m told it will revolve around a taping of "TGS".

Was already excited about this, now with both Matt Damon AND Jon Hamm?! Love!

Damn it...

Soooo... stupid me decided to download Grey's Anatomy after finishing my House marathon, when I have 2 projects, 1 homework and 2 exams due in the next 2 weeks. Spent about a week watching all of them, skipped most of the parts (except for Mer/Der) and loved, and I mean LOVED, when Derek became Chief of Surgery, wearing those sky blue shirts instead of scrubs. He's so hot!! Plus he has shorter hair during those episodes. Love the hair. The power too and the slight extra cockiness. Chief Shepherd is just hot!

Currently re-watching season 6, because that's when Derek is chief, and loving how now Derek, Mark and Owen are hanging out at the chief's office. Loving the episode, loving all the hotness, hating my wasting time. I only have 3-4 more days until my projects are due and I basically haven't started yet. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do! But I can't help myself. Dr. Derek Shepherd as Chief of Surgery. Can't stop....

Unfinished Business

Next week's episode of White Collar, "Unfinished Business", will have Hilarie Burton as a guest star. Her character on White Collar seems very interesting. She's playing Sara Ellis, an insurance investigator. She's kind of a white collar bounty hunter; she gets 2% of what she repossesses, and in white collar crime that's plenty! She testified against Neal during his trial for a painting that he stole, which insured for $7 million. Sara wants the money. She's out to get Neal and all the things that he stole. I love the quick banter between the two, hinting at a little flirtation. There are rumors out there that her character might be Neal's new love interest. I'm gonna wait until I watch the episode before I judge if I'm for or against that, since now I'm on the Neal/Alex ship.

I'm so stupid!

I was so hyped up about Comic-Con because, well, that's where the geeks rule, plus a lot of my favorite TV shows and movies will hold panels there. I watched the panels for Psych, White Collar and Community but the stupid, stupid me forgot Dexter! I watched their season 5 sneak peek but that's it! I didn't even search for the panel! Thanks to John, who linked me a YouTube video of it, now I have like 10 tabs open of the panel! Michael C Hall is hilarious as always, and I love the fact that he casually talks about killing and justifying it. Some favorite parts:

Did not expect Neal Caffrey to know anything about guns! He always says that he hates them. He looked like he knew what he was doing and he handled it pretty well.

White Collar

Yup, here's the new one. There are a few reasons why I love this show, but just look at him!!

White Collar is about Neal Caffrey, a white-collar criminal who was caught by FBI agent Peter Burke. He had 3-4 months left in serving his 4 year jail sentence, when he decided to escape, which he made seem easy. Peter Burke was called to catch him once again, and he did. Neal wasn't even running, he was just trying to find his girlfriend, Kate Moreau, whose disappearance was the sole reason of Neal's prison escape. Not wanting to be in prison for another 4 years, Neal made a deal with Peter that lets him out of prison into the custody of the FBI under Peter's supervision, and in turn he has to help the FBI catch other white collar criminals. Also, Neal has to wear a tracking anklet that lets him roam New York City in a 2 mile radius.
