Discombobulate

Love Clooney!

There was a rumor going around that George Clooney was selling his house in Lake Como and searching for another place in Loreto Island. Clooney cleared up the rumor, saying:
"To complete the news cycle, I'm not buying an island and am not selling my house in Italy. The story was made up...then picked up...and now denied...end of another riveting day of false news."

Love this guy! He's so hilarious!

Okay, this is pretty cool...

John Mayer – I can never decide if I'm a fan of his or not. I like some of his music. Some of the times, he seems pretty cool, but other times, he comes off as douche-y. However, this thing that he did is damn cool!

It actually does happen in real life

I know it's wrong and it sounds morbid, but every time I go to SeaWorld and watch the Shamu show, I always wonder if these killer whales have ever killed anyone, trainers or somehow visitors, during a show. Being watched by dozens of families, bringing their young children to educate them about the world of the sea. And for some reason, I've always wanted to see it happen right in front of me. I don't actually want anybody to die or get injured. But they are killer whales. Even if they've been trained since they were born, their natural instincts are still in them. I know it can happen, and it actually did!

SNOW!

Okay, I retract my statement about being disappointed by the snow. I LOVE YOU SNOW!! Here's the story:

I was supposed to have my first CS 211 (Computer Architecture) midterm today at 12 noon. Since I was unable to find time (ahem) to study until last night, I decided to stay up as long as I could and just read as much as possible. I didn't actually start studying until around midnight! Because of all the TV shows, obviously. Stayed up until at least 4 a.m. and read pretty much most of the subjects covered (except for Assembly Language). I just couldn't take it any more and I thought sleep is something that some people need. I tried to sleep but it took me a while to actually fall asleep...

Oh, snow! How you've disappointed me so!

I was really hoping that it would snow, a lot! Since we've had yet another Winter Storm Warning since Monday. My CS211 midterm is today and I'm so not ready for it! I was really hoping that it would snow enough and it would stick so classes would be canceled and either the exam is canceled, which would be amazing, or postponed, giving me more time to prepare for it.

Studied quite a bit last night, though. Hopefully that's good enough!

JT + CK = me [^.^]

Two-fifths of my favorite boyband recently hung out in New York! :)
[Secret twitpic of *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake and Chris Kirkpatrick]

I'm always so happy that any one of them is photographed anywhere; and when it's more than one of them in one frame, my happiness increases exponentially [^.^]

Downey!

Eric showed me a pic he took of RDJ in Indo's Esquire magazine. Of course, the next thing I did was to Google "Downey Esquire" in the hopes that I would find an article that they translated. From the pic it seems like they're saying that someone is actually a better actor than Mr. Downey. I just want to know who it is and what the article says about him.

Newsweek Oscar Roundtable

For some reason I started watching the videos of last year's Oscar roundtable again. How can I resist Robert Downey Jr. and Brad Pitt together in the same frame? So anyway, I decided to also read the transcripts, because the do cut a lot of them out and here's something around the end of it:
[Screen capture of the transcript]

It's just interesting to see that maybe that's when they start approaching Mickey Rourke for Iron Man 2. Or at least, in my imagination of their world, these things happen at these types of events.

JT news

It's New York fashion week and of course, Justin is there with his William Rast line. The fashion show was actually streamed live but I had class so I skipped it. Figured, since it's JT, every entertainment news show will be covering it. It's not like I'm that big on watching fashion shows..

So there's that. More importantly, the music video for Carry Out is finally here!

He looks so freaking hot in it! His first outfit reminds me of a younger Justin, from the Justified era. He was clean shaven, too, for the video, which is probably why he looks younger. His second outfit is more to the FSLS era. Love his hat there! Let's just say he looks soooooo hot throughout the video! I think he was wearing William Rast. His t-shirt from the first outfit was definitely WR's American flag t.

A crash course in OT history

In celebrating Old Trafford's 100th birthday, ManUtd.com has a section called The OT 100. It's comprised of the 100 greatest moments of The Theatre of Dreams in its glorious century. It covers OT's opening day, to its destruction from World War 2 and its rebuilding, and all memorable events that has happened throughout these 100 years.

Firefox Persona

[Screen capture of my Firefox window]

Been using it for quite a while now and I was so damn bored of studying so last night I decided to create my own. Obviously, since I'm still overly obsessed by RDJ, I made one with a pic of those beautiful eyes of his! Now whenever I'm browsing the web, I have Mr. Downey looking straight at me! :) I'd probably be designing a couple more (especially when I've had a new obsession)

AC Milan 2-3 Manchester United

[Beckham lining up and greeting old friends]

It's only the last 16, but the two big names playing each other make it more worthy of a semi-final encounter. However, all the talk about this fixture is about David Beckham. The former Red Devil #7 is facing his old club for the first time, 7 years after his departure. Now wearing #32 of the black-red striped jersey, Becks starts for AC Milan.

Beckham: Forever Red

Manchester United was drawn against AC Milan for the last 16 round of the Champions League, which means that former Red David Beckham will be playing his old club. The first leg is this Tuesday at San Siro, and Becks will be back at Old Trafford on March 10th. ManUtd.com has an article interviewing my favorite #7 in Italy, here's the last question:
Finally, can you ever see yourself back at United in some capacity?
I’ll certainly be back as a fan. I’ve still got season tickets and I’ll always keep them because I love to watch every game where possible and I’d love to take my sons one day. United will always be such a special place to me, so we’ll just have to see what the future holds.
I just can't wait to see him again! <3

[-___________-]

I'm getting more and more frustrated at my MacBook! It started 2 days ago, I think, when I was trying to watch TV (probably Idol) and it gave me the "insufficient USB 2.0 bandwidth" error so I had to restart my MacBook. The restart was fine, didn't take too long and I was opening the applications as usual. But since then on, my MacBook's performance has been choppy at best. A lot of the application will stop responding so I have to force quit it. It happens so often that I decided to not run too many applications at once. And even when I was running only 2, and one of them was Mail, which didn't do much unless I get a new email, it still freezes up from time to time. I don't know what happened, and I just hope that this is only an "episode" that will resolve itself soon. I am pretty much stuck with this laptop for another 1.5 years because I told Mama and Didi that I'm going to keep this until I graduate from Rutgers. I'm not even running Adium anymore because whenever I do it freezes up and slows down the computer. That has never happened before! It used to be only web browsers, and very rarely too. Now it's everything and anything. Please, please, please be okay!

RDJ quotes

One of the reasons I love this guy is because he's just hilarious. Some quotes that I just love:

Monopoly Makeover

'Monopoly' Gets a Makeover, but Will Die-Hard Fans Buy It?

by Lindsay Robertson
Thursday, February 4, 2010

©Hasbro

Hasbro has unveiled the design of the new 75th anniversary edition of their classic board game, Monopoly, set to hit stores in fall of 2010. "Monopoly: Revolution Edition" is slick and round instead of dull and square, with debit cards and an ATM instead of paper money and a banker, clear plastic representations of the classic tokens (bye-bye, little boot!), and clips of popular songs (like Rihanna’s "Umbrella," Daniel Powter’s "Bad Day," and Beyonce's "Crazy in Love") that play after certain actions.

This is not the first game to get a modern reboot (there’s an update to the classic Trivial Pursuit, and Scrabble got a face-lift for its 60th anniversary), but Monopoly’s changes will undoubtedly appeal to the 21st century's techie youngsters. For one thing, the adjusted-for-inflation prizes are more impressive.

"Old" RDJ

Been watching old movies of RDJ, since I've watched the newer ones. Most of them aren't that great, but whatever, RDJ was so darn cute! He just has a nice look on his face and I like that.

I've watched crappy RDJ movies from his late teens/early 20s. He's still an amazing actor, but there was nothing special about the movies. Still haven't watched the few movies that supposedly got him on the map, and I'm gonna watch those in the next few days.

And of course, waiting for Iron Man 2, coming in May!!
