Today: Oscars!

Tonight is the biggest night of the movie industry: The 82nd Annual Academy Awards. It's quite interesting this year because they're changing it up a bit. They have 2 hosts for the night, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Instead of 5 nominations, the Best Picture category has 10 (even though, basically, the real race is only between Avatar and The Hurt Locker). The race for the Best Director category is also between those two movies, with James Cameron for Avatar and his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow for The Hurt Locker.

One change that I'm not a big fan of, is that the Academy is trying to attract younger viewers, so they decided to invite Miley Cyrus, some of the Twilight kids, and Zac Efron to present. Please don't let this be yet another Disney/MTV Awards!

The Oscars is always so long (3 hours ceremony) and, most of the time, boring. Hopefully with two funny people as hosts, tonight's awards show won't be too boring! Plus, I am looking forward to seeing Robert Downey, Jr. who's scheduled to present. Also, right after that, on ABC, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! After the Academy Awards is gonna feature RDJ, too! :)
