Chart Beat Wednesday: Justin Timberlake

THIS JUST IN ...: Timbaland's "Carry Out" lifts 12-9 on Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart, pushing featured artist Justin Timberlake past Akon and Nelly for most top 10s among solo males.

The song is Timberlake's 13th top on the chart and first since T.I.'s "Dead and Gone," on which Timberlake guested, reached the top 10 a year ago this week.

Among all artists, Timberlake is now tied with Rihanna for third-most top 10s. The pair trails only Mariah Carey (17) and Madonna (14), the latter of whom notched her most recent top 10 with the Timbaland and Timberlake collaboration "4 Minutes" in 2008.

Here is a look at the male soloists with the most top 10s since the Pop Songs chart launched in 1992:

13, Justin Timberlake
12, Akon
12, Nelly
11, Usher
10, Ludacris
8, Eminem
7, 50 Cent
7, Kanye West
7, Sean Paul
6, Diddy
6, Will Smith

With the climb of "Carry Out," Timberlake passes his top 10 output with 'N Sync, which collected a dozen top 10s from April 1998 through May 2002. Timberlake earned his first top 10 with "Like I Love You" in October 2002.
