Giggs is September's star

We're not sure what Ryan Giggs has been eating for breakfast, but we'd sure like some of it - it's no surprise that United's man of the moment has been voted ManUtd.com's Player of the Month for September.

Giggs earned a whopping 81 per cent of the poll - a total that topped more than 10,000 votes. He beat Wayne Rooney (8 per cent) and Darren Fletcher (6 per cent), and it's fully justified after an incredible month. September started with his first league goal of 2009/10, a wonderful free-kick against Tottenham - meaning he remains the only player to score in every Premier League season.

A stunningly influential second-half display in the derby followed, with three assists, including a fine pass for Michael Owen's winner. Next up came a crucial cameo against a stubborn Stoke side at the Britannia Stadium. Two more assists, three more points. And he rounded the month off with his 150th Reds goal - a free-kick against Wolfsburg, albeit via a huge deflection - and a part in Michael Carrick's match-winning strike.
