United accept Real's Ronaldo bid

The never ending transfer saga is finally coming to a close...possibly. Manchester United has decided to accept a world record bid of £ 80 million. This means Real Madrid are allowed to talk to Cristiano Ronaldo and his people and offer a contract. It's not exactly a done deal but since CR has always wanted to play for Real Madrid (even though he stated, at the end of last season, that he's definitely staying at United next season) so most of us fans think that it's goodbye Cristiano!

Here's the report from ManUtd.com
Record Ronaldo bid accepted

Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

At Cristiano's request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories. When you came us fans were mourning the departure of David Beckham and just a few seasons later you've shown us one of the best football ever played in the red kit. Wishing you the best of luck whichever club you decide to play for in the future.

Possibly the three best footballers in the past three years will be playing for Spanish clubs next year. Maybe it's time to start watching La Liga?
