Dexter

My latest obsession: Dexter. Dexter is a show about a serial killer, who has a conscience. He only kills murderers, so he justifies his acts as preventing more murderers to happen than the ones he committed. In his words, he's cleaning up Miami.

It's an amazing show, with a very unique character as the supposed "hero". Dexter Morgan is a blood spatter analyst, working for the Miami Metro PD, with a very dark secret. He has a need to kill people, and he calls it the dark passenger.

It's a very dark but unbelievably interesting show. Trying to look normal in the society, trying to connect with other people, Dexter who has no emotions whatsoever picks up what other people do and try to copy it.

To be honest, the first 2 seasons were just mind-blowing amazing, but the third and fourth seasons weren't as good. It's becoming slower and...less dark... Too much romance, not enough killing (not to sound morbid). I'm watching this series to see how a serial killer does what he does but still act normal around the people he cares about. I don't care about LaGuerta and Batista hooking up. Also, they kill the wrong people. Sgt. James Doakes was a very interesting character. It's always nice to see that someone finds Dexter creepy and is always onto him and they have to work in the same office. Special Agent Frank Lundy was also a great character that they killed off. Sister Detective Debra Morgan was an amazing character, different than female characters that we usually see on TV. However, the last two seasons have made her look less unique. I really hope the writers make something happen in this season or the next and make it interesting again, or else it might not have a contract for a sixth, which will be sad.
