Today was the performance finale. Blake vs Jordin. I have the mixed feelings, excited and sad, at the same time. Excited about the show, and sad that it's ending. [it's actually playing again right now]
Each contestant got to perform 3 times. One song they have performed in the show, one choice of song they haven't perform, and the last was the winner of the songwriting competition.
Blake went first, singing "You Give Love A Bad Name". I know why he chose that song. When he performed it a few weeks ago, it was simply a blast! Greatest performance in the show's history IMO. Loved it!!! But this time, maybe because I've seen it before, wasn't as entertaining as it was. But still it was a good performance. The judges loved it I guess...
Jordin replied with Christina Aguilera's "Fighter". I thought she was taking too much risk, since Aguilera has this powerful voice. But she did it her own way and she has an amazing voice. She did a really good job there... Vocally, she was better than Blake, but Blake's performance was the more entertainment.
Round one goes to Blake IMO...
Second round started with Blake singing Maroon 5's "She Will Be Loved". Maybe he picked that song because he did really well the previous week with the band's other song, "This Love". He did look comfortable on that genre. But I still think his performance the previous week was better. Vocally he was pretty good, but I even like his first performance better. Simon put it as the song he shouldn't choose for the final!
Jordin went with "Broken Wings". She was really good performing that song before, but it wasn't my favorite. Maybe she was good vocally but not much as the entertainment. Dunno...
Round two is a tie IMO...
The third song is the songwriting competition winner. It's a great song, but definitely not Blake's type! He went first and he was, on his standard, horrible! I think he wanted to jump up and down in the middle of the song but he just wasn't allowed to do that. It was more like a mellow kind of song.
Jordin took the stage. And it was simply brilliant!!! The song suited her well, way better than it did Blake. She was amazing, with that awesome voice!!! By this third and final performance of the night I think she swept it away. Vocally, Blake was no competition there.
Round three goes to Jordin, clearly!
Tomorrow's result show will be huge and I just can't wait to see who show up!!! Gonna be great!!!
