Besiktas 0-1 Manchester United

[Scholes celebrating the only goal in the match]
It was a boring, slow and sloppy match. After last weekend's very entertaining match against Spurs, this game looked like a boring draw right from the start. Sir Alex Ferguson opted to play 4-5-1, leaving Wayne Rooney alone up front with Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen on the bench.
The deadlock was finally broken by veteran Paul Scholes in the 77th minute, after Besiktas' goalkeeper parried Nani's shot. Scholes had a free header with the goal wide open in front of him.
A win is a win and 3 points away from home in the Champions League is vital. Next up, local derby on Sunday!
