Why Expos is so hard

  1. We actually have to read lots of essays, 20+ pages each!
  2. Writing 5 pages essay is NEVER easy.
  3. It's so hard to find connections between the readings (which might be because I find it hard to read them properly in the first place. I don't understand most of them)
  4. The assignment question is never what I expected. When I read the latest reading, I would try to find connections to the previous readings. But what I thought would be the assignment question is always way off the real ones.
  5. My instructor doesn't help us understand the text or find connections etc.
  6. I have to work on my laptop to write a paper. My laptop is connected to the internet. Go figure!
  7. And it requires us to be critical and be able to explain obvious things. I just can't do that!

David Beckham!!! [^.^]

David Beckham visited his former team Manchester United training in Milan. United are preparing for the Champions League battle with Jose Mourinho's men, Inter Milan, which is Beckham's current team's city rival [that was a baaaad sentence lol]

Beckham met former teammates, including Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, 2 of the 3 survivors from the class of '92. Gary Neville was left in Manchester due to injury.
Becks belong to Manchester United!! He should really, really spend his last few months of his career back at Old Trafford. Imagine that midfield, with Scholes, Giggs, and Becks, added with the pace of Cristiano Ronaldo ;)

And I just LOVE the way he dresses! Looking real good Becks! :)

Interview from United's website. Again, he's showing his love for United. Come on Fergie! Bring him back just for a couple months!!

The 81st Annual Academy Awards

This year's Oscars were presented just moments ago, and as expected, Slumdog Millionaire was the big winner. They got 8 out of 10 nominations if I'm not mistaken. I should watch this movie and see actually how good it is. Usually Oscar nominated movies are those long, boring, too many words type of movie. But I watched Benjamin Button and it was pretty good (I guess Brad Pitt being there helps A LOT).

Slumdog brought as many of their cast to the show. They brought some of the kids too. They actually went to the red carpet and interviewed by Ryan Seacrest. Some of them don't even speak English! They're soooo adorable!! Some of them aren't even actors, they're actual kids from the slums, having the time of their lives! Looking nice in dresses and tux.

Another expected win, Heath Ledger with the post-humous Oscar. His family came up to accept the award.

I like the way they presented the actor/actress awards, five past winners introduce the current nominees. There are some of them that I just don't know but some of them were funny (thank God!). Hugh Jackman was pretty good as host. Sang, danced, quite funny too!

The Oscars were 3 1/2 - 4 hours long and boring, most of the time, so anyone who comes up with a joke was soooo entertaining for me.

[I don't really know what I'm writing anymore, I guess I'm tired]

Was a little disappointed that Jessica Biel failed to bring Justin to the show! Slim chance, I know, he's not the kind of guy who'd show up as a girl's date to these award shows but I miss seeing him in a nice tux...
