The afterglow

That brief *NSYNC reunion that happened over a week ago? It still brings me joy to this day. I still watch their performance regularly. I watch it so often that I now expect "Gone" when I hear the intro to "Pusher Love Girl."

Not only was the performance itself amazing, the aftermath was a great part. The guys did a few radio interviews within the next few days, and it felt like they were doing a media tour for a new album.

A quick rundown on the guys' radio tour: Lance cleared things up on his own radio show, SiriusXM's Dirty Pop Live. Chris called in to his friend's show, XL1067 Johnny's House. JC did quite a few, to talk about the reunion and to promote his girl group Girl Radical. Justin went on a whole day (or two?) of radio interviews, answering pretty much the same questions.

Here's how I think it went down:
  • 2.5 weeks before the show -- Justin calls Chris. Justin said he called Chris first, and Chris gave the approximate time.
  • ~ 2 weeks before the show -- Justin had also called Lance and Joey. I'm pretty sure he called JC last.
  • 9 days before the show -- Chris, Joey, and Lance were already in Miami to watch Justin's and Jay Z's last "Legends of the Summer" show.
  • 1 week before the show -- All five guys were in Miami, rehearsing at a secret location. I say secret because I forgot what location they used, even though I think Chris and another *NSYNCer mentioned it.
  • A day or two before the show -- They flew to New York *separately* to avoid suspicions even though by this time it was big news. They had a couple of rehearsals in the city.
  • D DAY! -- They had to rehearse earlier than everyone else to maintain whatever left of the secrecy (all but confirmation from their camp, by this point). And then the four guys were tucked away in a corner somewhere at the Barclays Center; and they had to stay there for 9 hours before their performance. Justin seemed to have a nice dressing room at a nice location. Of course, they didn't forget their roots and played hacky sack before a performance; each member has to kick the sack once without it hitting the ground before they can go on stage. Lance recently uploaded this video of them doing it. And then hours later, happiness, and then it's over, but the memory will last forever.
I know you guys are all busy with your own thing and whatever, but seriously, if you wanna do another album, or even just a show, I'll be there!

Yay Lance!

Speaking of Lance, this happened. Lance tweeted/instagrammed this picture, captioned "He said YES!! Love this man." Congrats guys!!
