I heart Community!

[Easter egg at the end of Community's "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas"]
Christmas episode, trying to find the meaning of Christmas, can be too cliche. That's totally not Community's style! So they made it stop motion animation. They changed the characters into Christmas characters: Jeff-in-the-Box, Britta Bot, Troy Soldier, BallerAnnie, Teddy Pierce and Baby Doll Shirley. The episode was all about Abed and his amazing view of the world.

I just LOVED the episode! Because it was stop motion animation. Because it was Willy Wonka themed. Because it was about Christmas. Because Community is just plain awesome. This is why people (award academies) need to realize that this show is one of the best this season! They're so unique.

Here's a nice piece about the episode:

Best. Episode. Ever.

If you're not completely smitten with Community by now, well, what is wrong with you? Laugh! (Cougar Town, anyone?) We pinkie promise that after tuning into tonight's stop-motion animated Christmas extravaganza, you'll be bursting at the seams with Greendale love and holiday spirit.

And just to get you in the mood, here's everything you need to know about the holly jolly half-hour:

Danny Pudi's a Star! Every time Danny is onscreen, Community shines a little brighter. And guess what? Same goes for animated Pudi! Being that the episode is titled "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas," you can guess that it's centered on everyone's favorite pop-culture junkie. The impeccable animation is actually just a figment of Abed's imagination, or rather a latent desire to fill a mysterious void he's feeling this holiday season. And so the gang sets off on a journey into Abed's magical Winter Wonderland. They even get cute new names and Christmasy personas, like Jeff-in-the-Box (Joel McHale), BallerAnnie (Alison Brie) and Troy Soldier (Donald Glover).

Musical Magic: What's Christmas without some good ol' fashioned carols? The cast of Community shows of their vocal stylings tonight with a few original holiday songs during their trip through Abed's imagination. Sure, Gillian Jacobs recently told us she was terrified of singing on the show (same goes for her character Britta), but being the troupers they are, everyone chimed in during an episode-ending musical number. Highlight: Yvette Nicole Brown wowing the crowd with her incredible vocal range.

Jeff + Annie = Love?! During the big musical hoopla, Jeff and Annie harmonize for a sec. And wouldn't you know that show runner Dan Harmon has the two animated kids singing about being with those you love...while looking longingly into each others' eyes...hmmm. Just sayin'.

The Meaning Of Christmas: Longtime followers of Watch With Kristin will no doubt go gaga over the way Community helps Abed find the true meaning of Christmas. It is smart, kind of topical and references something we here at Team WWK love with all our hearts. Guesses?

Check out the sneak peeks below of tonight's Community, and let us know what you think of the animated Greendale gang. (How cute is Snow Chang?!)
