Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal

We won 1-0 on this first leg Champions League semi final but it could have been so much more! We played really well in the first half but couldn't find that extra cushion.

Ryan Giggs made his 800th appearance for the club, coming on as a sub for Anderson (who has been immense throughout the game). He was robbed a goal by the linesman! Wayne Rooney picked a pass and Giggsy was through. The linesman decided that Giggs was offside. The decision could have gone either way, really, cos Giggsy was in line. If that was in it would be the 2 goal cushion United would have hoped for, and a fantastic goal for Giggs on this historic day.

Cristiano Ronaldo also had a few decent chances. One of which hit the post with Almunia left clueless.

All in all the game was good. We played really well. Could have done with a few more goals but as Sir Alex Ferguson said, we'll take 1-0. Emirates in 6 days. COME ON UNITED!! B-E-L-I-E-V-E

Heroes Season 3 (Volume 4) Finale

I guess it will never be as good as the first season because the "wow" factor dies down after you know so much. But they still find a way to twist things around and make it interesting. Gotta say though, why do TV shows now take dying as gone for a couple of episodes and return later as something else? And I thought Heroes would be the one show that actually has the courage to kill an important character...

So now Nathan and Sylar are the same person... which I'm sure would be the main focus on next season (well I'm not so sure actually..it is Heroes and they do like to be unexpected). As always, at the end of the finale they show the beginning of the next season. It was 6 weeks later when Nathan shows bits of Sylar in him. Nikki (is that her name?) comes back as a new person with a new power. She's killing people now... Peter gets all of Sylar's power so he's back being the one with multiple powers. Though it would be interesting to see if he'd lose those powers if he touches someone else.

Anyways, that's one show ends for the year... Waiting for other season finales in these coming up weeks. My predictions:
House - final episode would be Chase and Cameron getting married, and somehow that leads to a Huddy relationship.
Grey's Anatomy - Mer/Der wedding? Izzie dies and George decides to leave Seattle Grace, so those two are out of next season.

And I guess that's all I'm really watching now... well, those and 30 Rock but I don't really think comedy shows really have endings, do they? [actually, Friends always has interesting season finales]

Ryan Giggs at PFA Awards

Ryan Giggs receiving the PFA Player's Player of the Year Award.

"...it used to be drop, now it's rest" LOL!

Very well deserved. If anyone should be respected as a footballer, Giggsy should be at the top. A very long career at a top club, still going strong at age 35, stays fit most of the time, still able to run around the pitch for 90 minutes, with those amazing touches that he has, leaving defenders frustrated.

<3 Giggsy!

Giggsy = PFA Player of the Year!

Finally!! After 19 very succesful year in the very successful club, Ryan Giggs has finally won PFA's Player of the Year award. Congrats Giggsy!! Very well deserved! Still can't believe that he hasn't won before but this is even better because at the age of 35, most players would have retired. But Giggs has stayed in top form, playing at the best club in the world, and being the best among the best. Giggsy has been sensational this season!

This is the third consecutive year a United player has won it. The 2 previous awards went to Cristiano Ronaldo, who was also nominated this year.

Read ManUtd.com's report here.

Also, Manchester United dominated PFA Team of the Year with a contribution of six players. Wayne Rooney is not in the list, however, which is unbelievable! What hasn't the boy done? Anyways, those who did make it in the list:
GK: Edwin van der Sar (Man Utd)
LB: Patrice Evra (Man Utd)
CB: Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd)
CB: Nermanja Vidic (Man Utd)
RB: Glen Johnson (Portsmouth)
LW: Ashley Young (Aston Villa)
CM: Ryan Giggs (Man Utd)
CM: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
